i HATE looking for a job. there are only two jobs that i want right now. only one of those two jobs exists at the moment. in this city. i'm stucking being a god damn sandwich maker with boaties (my new name for any of the non-english speaking unintelligent people who come in and out of the revolving door that is the turnover rate of the sub hut). i like teaching some of the esl students that lettuce is actually called spinach and that mustard is aka piss in canada, and they can ask professors if they want mayo or piss on their sandwiches since it's way faster to say "mayo or piss?" than "mayo or mustard?" some of them can't even associate the word mustard with anything and don't understand how to make coffee, no matter how many times i show them how to empty the grounds into a basket and push a button. i understand how hard it must be to be in a completely new cultural setting... but making pre-measured coffee isn't a hard concept for a monkey to grasp.
my new personal trainer type person at the gym keeps telling me how cute i am. on thursday i had a job interview for the second job i'm about to turn down as soon as i stop avoiding her phone calls. anyway, during the interview, she kept telling me how cute and adorable i am. i don't get it. kittens = cute. heather = a thrown together under employed semi-pseudo-in-denial-about-being-discriminatory-towards-asian-co-workers-and-tards-in-general assface.
anyway, is it wrong to turn down a job i know i'd hate and get fired from within a few months because i'm anti-harrassing people for sales... and which would have a 3 hour commute every day?
the other job i turned down was to supervise other submakers. the guy who owns the shop was a half hour late for the interview and then wanted to start me only part time indefinitely.
all i want is a job where i don't have to think for a few months. until the ground defrosts and i can go out into the woods alone to dig up dead people's stuff. is this all too much to ask?
